Our Projects on the Polish Research Infrastructure Map

Minister of Science and Higher Education in Poland has included seven projects involving researchers from our Observatory on the Polish Research Infrastructure Map. The placement of this strategic infrastructure on the Map is a demonstration of recognition of its research potential.

List of Projects (2026)

  1. The HYADES Space Telescope – a national research infrastructure. Project leader: Jagiellonian University in Kraków.
  2. Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory (CTAO) – participation in the international research infrastructure included in the ESFRI roadmap. Project leader: Jagiellonian University in Kraków.
  3. POLFAR – Poland’s contribution to the European LOFAR ERIC  collaboration – a national research infrastructure that provides a component of the international infrastructure. Project leader: University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn.
  4. Hyper-Kamiokande – partnership in the international research infrastructure. Project leader: National Center for Nuclear Research in Otwock-Świerk.
  5. Virgo – gravitational waves observatory – participation in the international research infrastructure. Project leader: Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw.
  6. SKA Observatory – A breakthrough in understanding the Universe –participation in the international research infrastructure included in the ESFRI roadmap. Project leader: Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.
  7. The Vera C. Rubin Observatory – participation in the international research infrastructure. Project leader: National Center for Nuclear Research in Otwock-Świerk.
